The residents of Aku community under Adavi Local Government Area has called on Kogi State Government to come to their aid and take immediate action over the incessant attacks and destruction of farm crops by the Fulani herdsmen.
According to the Chairman of Aku community, Mr. Fache Edoh who speak with our correspondence expressed his grievances over the incessant attacks of their residents and the destruction of farm crops worth millions of Naira.
Mr. Fache said they have made several report through the Nigeria Police Command Osara division of which both Fulani herdsmen and residents of Aku were invited but all the efforts was abortive.
He added that the Aku residents depends on Lapo loans before they can work on their various farms and if this ugly incident persist how the Aku farmers would survive.
Mr. Fache plead with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to as a matter of urgency to wage in and protect the live and property of Aku community.
The Ward head of Aku community, Ibrahim James Onimisi said Two of their residents was attacked recently with cutlass and gun by the Fulani herdsmen while they are working on their farms.
Mr. Abdulazeez Ismaila a 25 years old was attacked in his farm and Mr Emmanuel Mayaki ,60 years old man was also a victim of the Fulani herdsmen. Both were survived with serious injury.
The victims said they are in the farm and Fulani herdsmen came with their cows then cutting their cassava’s to feed the cows when they say no to such barbaric act that is how they started shooting guns and take over the whole community.
