The Social Democratic Party (SDP) House of Representatives candidate for Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency, Prince Gowon Enenche, has joined other distinguished personalities to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, at his residence in Asokoro, Abuja.
Enenche, who visited the bereaved family earlier today, commiserated with them over the passing of the former governor and expressed his condolences to the deceased’s family.
Speaking during the visit, Enenche described the death of the former governor as a painful loss to his family, Kogi State and all those who knew and worked with him.
He said his visit was motivated by a deep sense of respect for the deceased and solidarity with the bereaved family at a difficult moment.
“I am here today with a deep sense of grief and sympathy to commiserate with the family of our late former governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Idris. His passing is a painful loss, and at a moment like this, words can hardly capture the depth of our sorrow,” Enenche said.
The SDP candidate urged the bereaved family to find solace in the memories and legacy of the late former governor, while entrusting his soul to the mercy of Almighty Allah.
“At a moment such as this, all we can do is stand with the family, share in their grief and offer our prayers. We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus and gives his family the strength, courage and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he said.
Enenche also extended his condolences to the people of Kogi State and all those mourning the former governor, noting that the moment called for prayers, compassion and solidarity with the bereaved family.
He prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the soul of the deceased and divine comfort for his family, urging them to remain strengthened by the enduring memories of his life and service.
