Every great community is built not by mere wishes, but by the concerted effort of its people — leaders and followers alike. Yagba East Local Government Area, blessed with human capital, cultural heritage, and natural resources, stands today at a defining moment. The task before us is not only to dream of a better Yagba East but to work together to build it.
No single individual, no matter how visionary or hardworking, can achieve transformation alone. True progress demands unity of purpose, mutual trust, and collective sacrifice. It requires every son and daughter of Yagba East — at home or in the diaspora — to rise above personal or political sentiments and put the interest of our land first.
At this critical juncture, our Local Government Chairman has continued to show uncommon commitment and diligence in serving the people. His actions reflect a genuine desire to move the local government forward despite limited resources and inherited challenges. This is not a time to stand aloof or criticize from the sidelines. It is a time to join hands with him to achieve the Yagba East of our collective dream.
Let us remember that progress knows no party line, religion, gender, or tribe. Development does not ask whether you are APC, PDP, Muslim, Christian, or traditional believer. Roads, hospitals, schools, security, and economic empowerment are for everyone. When Yagba East prospers, every household benefits.
Therefore, we must close ranks and support the dutiful and hardworking chairman in his quest to bring tangible development to our communities. Let us volunteer ideas, lend our voices responsibly, and participate actively in local governance. Let us hold our leaders accountable, but also encourage and support them when they are doing well.
The future of Yagba East lies in our unity and shared vision. Together, we can build a peaceful, progressive, and prosperous LGA where every citizen feels a sense of belonging and pride. The Yagba East of our dream is possible — but only if we all work for it, together.
Together, let’s build. Together, let’s rise.
— Hon. Emmanuel Obaro
