The Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the Governor of Imo State, DSP Ahmed Abdul Mumin has congratulated Major General Waidi Shaibu on his appointment as the Chief of Army Staff of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In a personally signed letter dated 24th October, 2025, DSP Mumi described General Shaibu’s elevation as a “well-deserved honour” and a “source of immense pride” to the people of Kogi State.

He praised the new Army Chief’s record of professionalism, discipline, and dedication, noting that his career exemplifies the highest standards of military service and patriotism.

“As a proud son of Kogi State, your elevation brings immense honour to our people and serves as an inspiration to all who value dedication, professionalism, and service to the nation,” Mumi wrote.

He further stated that the appointment reflects the confidence of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in General Shaibu’s capacity to lead the Nigerian Army with courage and integrity at a critical time in the nation’s history.

Mumi expressed optimism that under the new Chief of Army Staff’s leadership, the Nigerian Army would continue to uphold its tradition of discipline, unity, and national pride.

“May Almighty Allah guide and strengthen you as you discharge this great responsibility with wisdom, humility, and distinction,” the ADC added.

DSP Ahmed Abdul Mumi, who serves as Aide-de-Camp to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, hails from Kogi State, the same state of origin as the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff.
