A chieftain African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Kogi state, Senator Dino Melaye, has called on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to restrain his appointees from anti-democratic tendencies.
Reacting to the recent attack on ADC party office in Dekina by suspected political thugs on his verified X handle on Wednesday, Melaye warned of dire consequences if the attacks continue.
“I call on Gov Ododo to call his appointees to order. Henceforth, any attack on ADC offices and members in the state will be matched with superior responses,” he wrote.
A viral video from Dekina local government area of Kogi state shows political thugs vandalising the ADC party office and gleefully setting ADC flags ablaze.
The thugs, unmasked, danced around the flames as if celebrating a festival.
