The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced its screening process for aspirants seeking elective offices ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan participating in the exercise for the Kogi Central Senatorial District.

The screening exercise, held in Lokoja, Kogi State, brought together aspirants contesting various positions under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the party primaries.

Speaking shortly after the exercise, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed gratitude to party leaders, supporters, and the people of Kogi Central for their continued confidence in her leadership and political journey.

“Today, I travelled to Lokoja to participate in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) screening exercise for aspirants seeking elective offices in the 2027 general elections,” she said.

“Taking no chances, I arrived fully prepared with all required credentials and supporting documents. I am pleased to have successfully completed the screening exercise as part of the process ahead of the party primaries for the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial Election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).”

She described the exercise as an important democratic process and reaffirmed her commitment to quality representation, purposeful leadership, and sustained development across Kogi Central.

“This represents a renewed commitment to quality representation, purposeful leadership, and continued service to the people,” she stated.

The distinguished lawmaker further reiterated her dedication to advancing the welfare of the people through impactful legislation, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and improved social services if re-elected for a second term.

According to her, her proposed second-term agenda will focus heavily on empowerment programmes for youths and women, expansion of educational opportunities through scholarships and learning support initiatives, rural road rehabilitation, improved healthcare delivery, economic development, and increased support for small-scale businesses and entrepreneurs across the five local government areas of Kogi Central.

She also pledged to intensify efforts towards attracting more federal projects to the district, improving electricity supply, strengthening community security collaboration, and promoting policies capable of enhancing job creation and economic growth for the people.

She emphasized that her mission remains rooted in service, unity, and inclusive leadership.

“For love. For people. For service. 2027,” she declared.

Supporters across Kogi Central have continued to express optimism over her participation in the screening process, describing it as a significant step towards the forthcoming party primaries and the 2027 general elections.

Many residents believe her return to the Senate would consolidate ongoing development efforts and further strengthen the voice of Kogi Central and Kogi State at the national level.
