The civil servants are central to the attainment of the transformation agenda and the Vision 20:20:20.
The Deputy Governor, Kogi State, Mr Abayomi Awoniyi, made this known at the closing of a three-day in-house training workshop on work ethics and productivity for staff of his office.
He charged them to contribute effectively to the general purpose of public service delivery towards the attainment of the transformation agenda of the present administration.
He disclosed that Governor Idris Wada’s mission of making the state a model of good governance and a top ranking state in terms of rapid development, can only be achieved if “the civil service is manned by people who are knowledgeable and vast in administration.”
Awoniyi described the workshop as a deliberate policy aimed at enhancing productivity of staff.
He enjoined staff of the Deputy Governor’s office to put to use the knowledge acquired from the training.
