The convener of Kogi Youth Alliance (KYA), Comrade Temitope Olufemi Daniel has faulted the senatorial ambition of former House of Representatives member, Hon Sunday Karimi.

Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja on Thursday, Temitope said Karimi, who represented Yagba federal constituency in the lower chamber of National Assembly for 8 years, does not deserve the votes of Okun people and indeed Yagba people on the ground that the ex-lawmaker has no significant achievement to show for the two terms mandate he enjoyed in the past.

Comrade Temitope pointed out that the performance of the incumbent representative of Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon Leke Abejide in the last two years surpasses what Hon Karimi claimed to have achieved in 8 years.

He equally noted that Karimi has had his own chance to prove his worth and he has performed below the expectation of the people.

He stated that Karimi do not deserve to aspire for any political office again in Yagba land not to talk of Kogi West senate seat.

“Leadership positions are to be given to people of proven record of building human capital development and infrastructural development, not for those who are out to enrich themselves, their families and cronies at the expense of the people whom they claim to be representing.

“The good people of Okun land and Kogi West in general should open their eyes wide and shop for a better candidate that has the interest of the people at heart, not a political merchant like Sunday Karimi,” he said.

He also advised Hon Karimi to return back to his own private business and stop distracting the people of Kogi West senatorial district from making informed decision about 2023 general elections.
