2023: Kogi Speaker’s Former Aide Defects to ADC, Joins Assembly Race in Mopamuro

A former special assistant on new media to the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Julius Olushola Abel has decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Abel announced his defection and interest to contest in the forth coming 2023 general elections to represent Mopamuro in Kogi State House of Assembly during a meeting with Ward 01 (Odole, Mopa) Executives of the ADC on Friday.

He said “after careful observation, the ADC is a party that has the interest of the youths, women and all Nigerians at heart, this explains in whole my lots of reason to join the party.

“The representation of the member, Yagba Federal Constituency, Elder Leke Abejide is top-notch, and this also forms part my major decision to decamp,” he said.

Abel, popularly called Ontop, also gave an insight of his agenda for the people of Mopamuro when given the opportunity.

“Our mandate shall deliver human capital development, social amenities and tourism via legislative proactiveness to the people of Mopamuro.”

The Chairman of Ward 01 ADC in Mopamuro Local Government, Pastor Akin Joshua and other executives of the party unanimously welcomed Abel to the party, noting that he is an elite youth of repute and will be an asset to the party.

Recall that Abel on 31st of March resigned his appointment as Special Assistant on New Media to the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly.

Other executives present are; Ayo Joshua, Vice Chairman; Aworo Kunle, Secretary and Ayo Gbafo, Organizing Secretary.

The Assistant Financial Secretary, Sunday Kolawole and Idowu Ajayi were also present.
