The 2023 edition of the annual Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibition has been proposed to hold between 19th and 22nd September, 2023 in Lokoja.
The theme for this year’s event is Profitability and Quality Advantages of Made in Nigeria Housing Development Options and Materials.
According to the organizers, this year’s exhibition is aimed at promoting ideas and solutions on affordable shelter using made in Nigeria construction innovations and materials.
The exhibition will also provide information on new innovations to support and help stakeholders to compete and stay relevant in the building industry.
A major highlight of the event is to showcase innovative developments in the Built Environment industry, lecture presentations from iconic experts and leading names in the industry and research institutions.
According to the release made available to the media by its Director of Strategic Communication, Mr. Yagbagi Umar, the BEBM Exhibition also named two critical stakeholders in the Nigerian built environment industry as ‘Shelter Development Icons of the Decade’.
The icons are Mr. J.V. Gungune and Mr. Bhaskar P. Rao, the Plant Director, Dangote Cement, Obajana and the Managing Director of the West African Ceramic Limited, Ogoro Village, Ajaokuta respectively.
The statement added that the duo were nominated in recognition of their immense contribution to the development of made in Nigeria construction materials and the support being rendered to the host communities of their production facilities.
The event is usually a hybrid interface of lectures, marketing and commerce and product exhibitions.
About fifty building products and service-related organizations would be invited with estimated participants of about five hundred across the country.
