The Kogi State Forum of Education Secretaries (KoSFES) has commended the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello (CON) for pulling his weight behind the candidature of a primary school teacher, Comrade Joel Salifu (Oyibo) to emerge as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy Governorship Candidate for the November 11, 2023 gubernatorial election.

The forum, in a press release signed by its chairman, Hon Kasim N. Abdulmalik and made available to reporters by the Forum Director of Media and Strategy, Hon Jude M. Ogunjobi (ES, Yagba West LGA) on Monday, remarked that “it is under the Bello Administration that the children of nobody became somebody without discriminations.”

The body further posited that the problems bedeviling the Basic Education Subsector and the Local Government tier of Government could better be solved with an insider in Government.

Last Saturday, the Kogi State chapter of the ruling APC unveiled Comrade Joel Salifu (aka Oyibo), Chairman, Kogi State Wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) as the running mate to its Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo (OAU).

During the occasion, while congratulating the Governor over the National Honour bestowed upon him recently, KoSFES gave kudos to him for transforming the sector and going further to support one of their own to emerge as the Deputy Governorship Candidate and presented him with a gift of his portrait.
