2019 Poll: Kogi PDP Stakeholders Meet to Seek United Front

Against the background of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi State, stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State are meeting in Abuja to explore ways to achieve a united front to recapture power from the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The meeting which is at the instance of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, is taking place at the national secretariat of the party, drawing PDP leaders from all the local government areas of the State.

Invited to attend are former governors of the State, serving and former members of the National Assembly and two leaders from each of the 21 local government areas.

It will also consider the fate of the State Executives of the party whose tenure ends in July.

Among those present are former governors, Ibrahim Idris and Ibrahim Wada; former acting governor, Clarence Olufemi; former deputy governor, Yomi Awoniyi; and Senator Tunde Ogbeha.
