2019: Olamaboro PDP Leaders Pledge to Support Aidoko

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Olamaboro local government area of Kogi state have assured Senator Atai Aidoko Ali of their unalloyed support.
Led by the LG party chairman, Hon. Adams Olofu, the PDP chieftains gave the assurance during a solidarity visit to the Senator representing Kogi East in Abuja on Wednesday.
According to Olofu, the visit to the Senator is long overdue in view of leadership roles demonstrated by Aidoko in the last sixteen years, both at the green chamber and the red chamber along with efforts to attract more dividends of democracy to Kogi East.
Olofu stated that the visit was a clear demonstration of their support and efforts to prevail on the senator to re-contest in 2019 for Kogi East Senate seat to enable him ‎move the area to greater heights as a ranking senator and a potential principal officer of the senate.
He advised the people of Kogi East to embrace the candidature of Aidoko as a way to attract multiple infrastructural development of infrastructure to the area.
The party chairman said the decision of the party leadership at the local government and ward levels to pay Aidoko a visit is to solidarise with the Senator and to also implore him to consider returning to the senate in 2019 for the betterment of Kogi East.
According to the chairman, the people Olamaboro local government are not unaware of ongoing litigation and political persecution to throw the senator off balance but appealed to him to remain focused.
Responding, Senator Aidoko thanked ‎the local government and ward executives for the visit, saying it is a confirmation of the popular adage that ‘charity begins at home’.
He told the visitors that he will in all circumstances advocate for the socio-political and economic development of the area in spite of wrong political perception and misgivings by some group of political class.
He promised to attract both human and material resources to Kogi East.
