“Without doubt, senior members have more power, especially those from the president’s party, they control federal patronage, appointments and projects in their states. And given the avalanche of scandals and stories that normally circulate around politicians especially in the National Assembly, it is remarkable that Hon. Tijani Damisa is yet to attract any notoriety to his person in his 6 year spell in the National Assembly.
“Once he is elected again in 2019, he will automatically become a principal officer with so many benefits such as attracting more federal projects, influencing the House for quick passage of Bills and Motions to better the lots of his people.
“The KCFG therefore urges him to go for another term and also implore the people of Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency to consider his experience, goodwill, capacity and reach to support him.
“Hon. Tijani Damisa’s performance in law-making, human capacity development and infrastructural development is overwhelming. His return in 2019 will enhance the quick passage of his proposed Bill to establish the Nigerian Institute of Steel Development in Okene which will go a long way to bring Ajaokuta Steel Company back to life, thereby employment opportunities for our teaming unemployed graduates,” he said.
Comrade Nazir said the group’s support for Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa has no any political undertone. He described the lawmaker as an epitome of humanitarian and philanthropic services in the capacities in which he has served.
