The Youth Rebirth Movement of Comrade Oladele John Nihi, an aspirant for the position of President of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has commissioned three serving NYCN Chairmen, former Chairman and NYCN stakeholders for the forthcoming NYCN elective congress.
The committee has Ambassador Hope George, a former Youth Council Vice President, South South Zone and two-term Chairman of NYCN from Delta State as the Director General.
Others are: Comr. Yusuf Ibn Tom (North East) Chairman, NYCN Borno State and Chairman of Chairmen North East Zone as Coordinator for Chairmen; Alh. Ismaeel Lanleyin (South West) former Vice President, South West Zone and a member of several National VYOs affiliated with NYCN as Coordinator VYOs; Comr. Frank Mbashinya (North Central) Chairman, NYCN Benue State and Chairman of Chairmen North Central Zone as Director, Planning and Strategy; Umar Kabiru Lakuwa (North West) Chairman, NYCN Kano State and Chairman of Chairmen North West Zone as Director Mobilization and Logistics; Comr. Stanley Ogbonaya (South East) from Imo State as Director Finance; Queen Immaculate Chukwu (South East) as Director Welfare and Kerry Haruna (North Central) as Director Media and Publicity.
The committee was inaugurated by Comrade Oladele John Nihi who tasked them to work for his victory in the election.
“We have a collective task as youths which is to introduce a Rebirth in our thought pattern and work Collectively to uplift the standards of the Nigerian youth through the youth council.
“Our Youth Rebirth Agenda is one which is robust and captures the general desires of youths. It’s implementation at the micro level has recorded significant success, there is the need to implement it on a wider scope. The Council has provided the platform for this.
“You were all chosen based on your character and wealth of experience in Youth activism. I am confident that you will use your capacity to bring more youths on board the Rebirth Movement and work collectively to build on the existing structure of NYCN,” he said.
Speaking, the Director General of the Committee, Amb. George appreciated Nihi for finding him worthy of this “National Assignment”, stating that with the caliber of people in the committee, he is confident that they will deliver on the mandate.
He described Nihi as an experienced and trustworthy individual who would use the vast resources of the Council for the overall good of the Nigerian youth.
“I am here for a reason, this is because I have confidence in your person, You have displayed quality leadership character. Your exploits in youth struggle and impressive achievements in Kogi State has left us with no doubt that you are better than the rest, and you possess the ability to deliver a better youth council that will be more effective, efficient and goal oriented.
“On behalf of the committee, we accept this assignment and promise to deliver on the mandate” George Said.
Comrade Oladele John Nihi is contesting for the position of President, National Youth Council of Nigeria, he is from Kogi State and currently the Chairman of the state chapter of NYCN.
