Kogi State Football Association has approved the constitution of 11 local government football councils in the state.
In a statement, the state FA secretary, Augustine Ogunmola confirmed the constitution local councils as part of efforts to encourage grassroot football development in the state.
He urged the newly constituted local council officials not to rest on their oars in the determination to improve the
fortune of the game in their areas.
The 11 constituted LGs are Idah, Dekina, Lokoja, Yagba East, Kogi, Bassa, Yagba West, Olamaboro, Ogori-Magongo, Mapamuro and Kabba/Bunu local governments have six officials each.
Meanwhile, Ogunmola has urged other 10 councils to send the list of their representatives for its constitution and effective take-off of the local bodies.
