Barely three days after an American citizen was kidnapped in Kogi State, a retired headmistress, Paulina Audu, was yesterday kidnapped by gunmen from her Nagazi residence in Adavi LGA of the state.

It was gathered that the woman was kidnapped early in the morning when the gunmen accosted her at a gun point on her way to the church.

A source said the retired headmistress was coming out of her house to enter a vehicle when the gunmen who were apparently waiting for her ordered her to enter her vehicle. The kidnapers then dragged her driver out of the vehicle and took her to an unknown destination. Police spokesman, Sola Collins Adebayo, said he was not aware of the kidnap.
