Olu-Adde to Confer Araba of Ekinrin-Adde on Amb Rufus Aiyenigba June 22

As part of activities scheduled for the 2024 Ekinrin-Adde Day carnival, the National Publicity Secretary of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Ambassador Rufus Bamigbaiye Aiyenigba (AFP), will be conferred with the community’s honorary chieftaincy title as Araba of Ekinrin-Adde.

This was made known by the national leadership of Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA) when they visited the SDP national secretariat and presented letter of conferment of honourary chieftaincy title to Amb. Aiyenigba.

The EACDA team led by the National General Secretary, Elder Deinde Toyin Komolafe, said the conferment was approved by the paramount ruler of Ekinrin-Adde, Oba Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu, and the Olu-Adde in Council.

Other leaders in the team were: Prince Emmanuel Olajode Ayeniko (former EACDA National President), Dr (Chief) Bukola Olorundami-Ayeni (EACDA Deputy National President) and Mr Julius Dare Atomode, EACDA National Financial Secretary and Deputy Chairman, Planning Committee, Ekinrin-Adde Day 2024.

EACDA team explained that the decision to honour Amb. Aiyenigba was predicated on his remarkable contributions to the development of the community over the past three decades, the honour and esteem he has brought to Ekinrin-Adde through his various noble socio-political engagements and notable nation-building activities at the sub-national and national levels.

The Araba title symbolizes, represents and underscores all that is true, wholesome and stable – noble virtues that are much evident in your admirable strength of character, high morals, resilience, knowledge, honour, nobility of mind, public spiritedness, passion for engendering and promoting the ideals of a good Nigerian society.

“It is hoped that this honour will spur you to higher realm of commitment to the development of our community, and the promotion of the public good in general,” the EACDA team said.

Ambassador Rufus Bamigbaiye Aiyenigba is the Secretary, Elders Council of the newly constituted NEC of Okun Development Association (ODA). He is also the Chairman, Conference of Spokespersons of Political Parties in Nigeria (CSPPaN).

The conferment ceremony will be performed during this year Ekinrin-Adde Day Carnival, holding at 10 am, on Saturday June 22, 2024, at the open ground of Baptist High School, Ekinrin-Adde, Ijumu LGA, Kogi State.
