Kogi State University Teaching Hospital to Cost Govt N2.1 Billion

 The establishment of Kogi State University Teaching Hospital is expected to cost Kogi State government the sum of 2.1 billion naira.

The Chairman of the Committee for the establishment of the Hospital, Professor AbdulMumini Rafindadi disclosed this while submitting report to the state governor Captain Idris Wada on Wednesday in his office, Lokoja.

Professor Rafindadi who is the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja opined that additional land will be needed for the Teaching Hospital, noting that the project will be in three phases saying that the first phase will be 5 years, second phase 10 years while the third phase will be 15 years for long term.

He said the team visited Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital in Osogbo before making their submission.

In his response, Governor Idris Wada while receiving the report expressed his appreciation for the hard work of the committee to produce the report stressing that no doubt that the committee had worked hard to meet its schedule for submission.

He said the state government will take the report seriously and also worked out the implementation committee to bring the report to reality.
