Zacharias Congratulates Bello, Onoja as They Take Oath of Office for Second Term

• Calls for more infrastructural developments in Kogi East.

Ahead of Monday’s inauguration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward Onoja as Governor and Deputy Governor of Kogi State for the second term in office, the member representing Idah Federal constituency, Hon. David Idris Zacharias has congratulated the duo as they take oath of office in Lokoja, the state capital.

In a congratulatory message he personally address to the duo, Zacharias said that Governor Yahaya Bello deserves a second term in office because he has demonstrated, and proven that he has the interest of unifying the citizenry.

Zacharias added that it is clear that Kogi people are solidly behind Governor Bello and his deputy, Onoja, and from what is being seen, Kogi State would certainly become an exemplary state at the end of his second tenure with the energies that are being built up to transform the state.

The lawmaker thanked the people of Kogi State for re-electing Governor Belllo and urged them to support, pray and assist him to build a better Kogi state.

The Idah federal lawmaker was optimistic that greater things will happen in Kogi state as he assured that the choice of Edward Onoja as he deputy will defiantly catalyze developmental projects and transform activities in the state.

He assured that the governor would double his efforts in executing more meaningful projects at both rural and urban areas without bias, and congratulated Edword Onoja particularly for climbing the ladder of success for another four years term with a call on them to remain detribalized.

Zacharias called on the governor to focus on critical areas of agriculture, employment for the teeming unemployed youths and to channel infrastructural projects to Kogi East to justify the votes the people invested in him through the ballots.

He said the investment in security since he assumed office has paid off, hence called on him to consolidate on the gains made so far to make Kogi state a more peaceful state in order to attract investment from potential business investors. 

While praying that the duo have a successful tenure, the lawmaker assured them of his continued support as they collectively build an enviable Kogi state that will be the pride of all citizenry.
