The member representing Idah federal constituency, Hon David Idris Zacharias has congratulated some members of his constituency who were, on Thursday, appointed as Senior Special Assistants to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in various capacities from the four local governments in the constituency.
Those appointed are: Ibrahim Adamu, Ofu; Onoja James Omachulu, Igalamelala/Odolu; Hon. Williams Ikojo, Ibaji and Hon. Abu Odoma, Idah.
Zacharias, who urged them to show their competencies in the discharge of their duties, said the positions given to them was that of trust, and urged them to carry other stakeholders along in the discharge of their duties.
He noted that the security of their areas should be a priority as no meaningful development would take place outside secured environment.
He called on the new appointees to support the Governor in his bid to make the state secured, adding that total loyalty to the party should be another area they should look at.
The lawmaker, in the message signed by his Special Assistant of Media and Publicity, Jeremiah Ocheme, noted that he looks forwarding to meeting them in no distant time with a view of discussing how to collaborate to chart a better course for the constituency.
Zacharias is currently in Lagos state where he joined other lawmakers to attend a workshop and expo organized by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON).
The lawmaker had in recent times attended several capacity building programmes organized by the various committees he belong to in the House of Representatives as they carry out their oversight function.
