Senator Smart Adeyemi has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment of Mrs Folashade Omolola Yemi-Esan as the Acting Head of Service of the Federation.
Adeyemi described the appointment as a proof of the President’s inclusive governance style and a further demonstration of his love for Kogi State.
The senator in a statement on Thursday made available to newsmen described the President as a detribalised Nigerian, who prioritises merit and competence over other primordial considerations for appointments.
He described the appointment as “having a square peg in a square hole,” stating that the President’s enthronement of hard work and proficiency have continued to endear him to the people.
Adeyemi said, “No doubt, he is a true and sincere leader that must be appreciated for his good work. Kogi people will, by this act, forget all the grievances they had against previous administrations on issues bothering on neglect and marginalisation. By this action of the President, we will continuously support him.
“Kogi people are solidly behind the President and will truly support him any time, any day.”
Mrs. Yemi-Esan hails from Ikoyi in Ijumu council area of Kogi State.
