The forum made the declaration on Thursday when they paid a solidarity and congratulatory visit to the wife of the candidate, Hajia Sefiya Usman Ododo.

The Coordinator of the forum, Mrs. Rasheedat Abdulkareem Onyekehi speaking at the meeting, expressed delight and confidence that a member of the forum would emerge the next First Lady of the state.

Mrs. Onyekehi described Hajia Ododo as a strong pillar of the forum whilst her husband was an appointee under the Governor Yahaya Bello led new direction administration.

She said that the trust and confidence reposed on the APC candidate by all and sundry, was a demonstration of the unalloyed support given him by his wife.

“Our forum is indeed blessed to have one of our dedicated members on the road to becoming the mother of our dear Kogi state. The successes recorded thus far, is an indication of how strongly you have supported your husband to help this government impact the state. We do not doubt your competence to lead the women to victory come November,” she said.

Also speaking, the convener of the forum, Hajia Sefiya Danga assured of the forum’s support in mobilization of women and youths in the grassroot for victory at the polls.

She added that the forum will also continue with women and children-oriented programmes and policies that will help the APC candidate and his wife achieve their great intentions for the grassroot and the state at large.

In her response, Hajia Ododo thanked the forum for the visit and massive support given her since her husband emerged the flag-bearer of the party.

She stated that, if elected, women will be largely represented in her husband’s programmes for the state. She also assured of her openness to good ideas and initiatives that will bring respite to women and children.

Also in attendance was the wife of the Accounts Officer, Kogi State National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), Mrs Christiana Oloruntoba, amongst other representatives of the forum.
