The Head of the Management team of Yagba – East Local Government of Kogi State, Comrade Shola Adebola said his administration’s high premium on youths programme is geared towards harnessing their full potential.
Comrade Adebola who made this know during the inauguration of new executive of National Youth Council of Nigeria, (NYCN) Yagba – East Local Government Chapter said his administration has donated an office complex to the organisation named Yagba- East Youth House.
Speaking at the Secretariat Complex, Adebola who said he has granted monthly subvention to the organisation admonished the new executive to tap into the ongoing Youth Cassava initiative programme embarked on by the State Government.
While stressing that the LG is vigorously pursuing the clearance of 250 hectares of cassava land, he urged the youths to engaged in the gesture as the LG is one of the beneficiary of a Cassava Processing Industry by the State Government.
In his speech, the Coordinator of the LG NYCN, Comrade Sikiru Sheidu said the chapter is geared toward restoring the culture of nation building and leadership traits in the youth.
While charging the government to step up in the reduction of unemployment in the country due to its antecedents effects, he urged the Federal and State Government to provide enough fiscal to the Council area since they have more capacity to create job opportunity to the idle youths.
The inaugurated executive are, Comrade Sikiru Sheidu; Coordinator, Shina Olaitan; Deputy Coordinator, Ebenezer Inubiwon; Secretary, Samuel Olukotun; Assistant Secretary, Mayomi Tehinse; PRO, Moses Niran Aiyederu, Assistant PRO.
Others are, Olusanmi Temitope; Social Secretary, Ibrahim Taiwo; Treasurer, Philips Fagbemi; Financial Secretary, while Ganiyu Bakare, Abdulrasef Asiru and Dare Ajibade serves as Ex – Official.
