‘Why We Constituted Independent Youth Mobilisation Campaign Team for BellOnoja 2019

The Director General (DG) Independent Youth Mobilisation Campaign Team for BellOnoja 2019, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu has said the body emerged as a result of necessity to ensure effective sweeping of youth votes across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State for Governor Yahaya Bello. 

The DG made the comment in an interview with journalists in Lokoja where he told the public that as a youth umbrella, the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Kogi State understands the important roles they play in any democratisation process. 

He said they are the ones that carry the highest burden of mobilisation, enlightenment, canvassing and actual voting, adding that they are prepared to carry the message of the campaign to the youth of all wards and units of the state. 

He said; “the National Youth Council of Nigeria Kogi State Chapter and her Independent Youth Mobilisation and Campaign Team for BellOnoja 2019 is an offshoot of NYCN with the sole aim of mobilizing her vibrant youths across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State  towards the re-election of Governor Yahaya Bello in the November 16th election.

“We are resolutely determined and passionately committed to working the talk in other to mobilize, canvass and sanitize all Youths affiliated organization across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State.”

To achieve this goal, he said the group has concluded arrangements to vigorously enlighten the demographic by creating awareness in the minds of all youth affiliated organizations across the 21 LGAs of Kogi State about the project and policies of the new direction government thus far.

The group, he said, was painstakingly selected from all major youth affiliated organisations using some statistical variables that prove the commitment of members to the cause of returning the Governor to Lugard House.

He therefore assured the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the state and the candidates – Governor Yahaya Bello and his returning mate, Hon Edward Onoja of the group’s commitment to delivering overwhelming votes from the demographic.

Comrade Adamu appealed to all supporters and stakeholders in the party to give the group the support that it required to succeed in its task.
