What the people in Kogi, including those dependent on the economy of state, need is not alms.
Stop giving alms to them, no matter what they tell you.
Giving alms to them will only make them feel lazy, too lazy to hold the government of their State to account; in terms of welfare.
What they need is a change of government in the forthcoming November 2019 election!
This point is nonnegotiable, even in the eyes of a pastor, an imam or a traditional worship leader; except where sincerity does not apply in the business of religion, as it bothers on the social contract that exists between a people and their government.
We don’t need alms.
