Kogi State Governor Idris Wada yesterday laid the foundation stone of Four Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETF) projects at the premises of Kogi State Polytechnic in Lokoja.
The four TETF projects are; a modern 100-seater auditorium, a 500-seater lecture theatre, a modern library complex and School of Communication and Information Technology.
The Rector of the school, Prof. Matthew Ajibero, disclosed that these four projects were part of seven initiated by the school from the one billion naira higher impact projects and 2010 normal Intervention Fund provided by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.
Wada was accompanied by his able deputy, Architect Yomi Awoniyi.
Describing the youths as the leaders of tomorrow, the Governor called on students to imbibe the culture of discipline and hard work.
Governor Wada promised to assist the Polytechnic address some of its challenges which include the provision of some facilities like water, power and roads at the sites of the projects, completion of road networks on the Lokoja campus as well as the provision of bins for waste collection.
