The media is awash with claims by the Kogi State government that 9,720 ghost workers have been discovered by Governor Bello yet the monthly wagebill still remain the same from January to June and Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, suddenly decreased to the lowest since Alhaji Yahaya Bello from Kogi Central assumed office in the most questionable governor why,

No governor has been this insensitive and moving fast on a very wrong lane!

I am sure that my brothers and sisters who has been earnestly yearning for power rotation have not gotten it right. This product of power rotation has turned the state into a war booty and thereby carting away our public financial resources with reckless abandon.

If not let us check this vivid analysis of our finances. Evidences abound to show that Yahaya Bello is milking us dry. Lets check the emerging scenario please.

9,720 ghost workers discovered by Governor Bello yet the wage bill still remain the same from January to June, 2016.

The committee on staff screening and verification in Kogi,  according to the Auditor-General in charge of local governments, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo has discovered 9,720 ghost workers in the payroll of the state government.

It is obvious Governor Bello is not ready to repent.

With due respect sir, Kogites are not that daft and dumb. Some of us may not be sound in English but we are sound with figures.

Before former Governor Idris Wada left office the state IGR was between 580,000,000 to 600,000,000 million Naira monhtly and suddenly the IGR has over night decreased to 250,000,000 and 300,000,000. Two hundred and fifty millions Naira under Governor Yahaya Bello. Why the sudden decrease? Such drastic decreased in the IGR is questionable.

Secondly, the stagnant wage bill is questionable considering the facts that in your prudent nature and vigilant capacity sir, your government, with the help of your almighty Chief of Staff, Edward Onoja was able to discover over 9,720 ghost workers.  It is mathematically wrong for the state government to still maintain the same wage bill from January to June.

This misleading financial misrepresentation must stop and I am deeply disappointed that our elders, church leaders and Imams where gathered in one glass house and brainwashed with these concocted and fabricated figures.

Factsheet of Kogi State Income - Austin Okai

I know the state government must have deceived them with the aura of His Excellency, but I am disappointed that the governor is still mute on the bailout fund and what lead to the illegal withdrawal of the Ecological fund.

Just as my friend, Ajayi Oluwafemi aptly demanded:

Where is the breakdown of the ecological fund?

Where is the breakdown of the untapped 12billion bond?

Where is the breakdown of the little internally generated revenue?

Where is the breakdown of the amount claimed to have being left in the treasury by Wada for counterpart funding of the ongoing world bank projects?

Bello should remember that some of us also studied accounting from the same prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria like him and hold Masters degree in finance with certified professional certificates, so they shouldn’t think both him and Idris Asiru can play pranks with the bailout.
