Truth often times is bitter. However, truth must be told although lots of people don’t like to be told the truth.

I have seen a lot of young people especially from the Igala extraction in Kogi state expressing support for Atiku Abubakar. Many, I suppose, would do this based on party affiliations; some others for the dollars or for just being tired of the current administration.

If only these young people have been told the role Atiku Abubakar played in stopping the development of Kogi State especially in Igala land am sure many of these young people would never support him.

Atiku Abubakar who was the then Vice President single handedly, in a commando manner, removed the only performing governor of Kogi State in person of the Late Prince Abubakar Audu simply because he refused to decamp to the PDP.

I remember vividly when the late Prince Abubakar Audu knelt down before him to beg him to respect the wishes of his people to remain as ANPP. Atiku got angry and vowed to remove him which he did; imposing on us a man that had no clue on how government is ran. This happened at Nicon Nuga Hotel which is today called Transcorp Hilton. That era was the beginning of the the down fall of Kogi State.

Since the removal of the Late Prince and the reigns of PDP in Kogi state,we have not witnessed any positive development. I don’t want to waste my time to talk about the current APC government for it is only God that can handle their case.

It is instructive to note, that kogi state have never developed being with the party at the center. please check your records. We tried it in PDP, now APC you and I know the result.

The solution to our problems are simple. It is in the ability for us to tell ourselves the truth. It is in searching for men and women who have the capacity to bring about the much desired positive development we all yearn for; irrespective of the political party he or she may belong.

Audu belonged to ANPP which was more of a mushroom party at that time compared to the PDP but it brought positive development to the people.

The 2019 General Elections presents us yet another opportunity to write the wrongs of the past. It is in your hands.
