Hon. Musa Olumayowa Yakubu (MOY), the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Flagbearer for Ijumu State Constituency II, has congratulated the leading House of Representatives hopeful for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Dr. Idris Rufus Oluwafemi, popularly known as IDRUFEM, on the occasion of his birthday.
MOY described IDRUFEM as a man whose time has come, declaring that the growing support, acceptance and confidence reposed in him across Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu Local Government Areas are clear indications that the people are prepared for a new direction in 2027.
According to MOY, leadership is not merely about occupying political offices but about demonstrating capacity, touching lives, understanding the needs of the people and remaining accessible to the grassroots.
“IDRUFEM has, over the years, demonstrated a genuine commitment to the welfare and development of our people. His relationship with the grassroots is not artificial or seasonal. It is built on years of service, sacrifice, empowerment and an uncommon passion for the progress of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency,” MOY stated.
He further declared that the 2027 general election presents the people of the constituency with another historic opportunity to elect a representative who understands their challenges and is prepared to give them purposeful, courageous and people-oriented representation at the National Assembly.
MOY said the people have become more politically conscious and are now demanding more than promises and slogans.
“2027 must be about capacity. It must be about competence, accessibility, courage and a genuine commitment to the people. The era when our people were expected to accept representation without accountability is gradually giving way to a new political consciousness.”
He expressed confidence that IDRUFEM represents the kind of leadership the people desire at this critical period in the history of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
