Teacher AbdulMalik Standard Deserves State Award

Mr. Abdulmalik Abdullahi, a teacher and the headmaster, LGEA Standard Primary School, Onyukoko Okene. He has been using his wealth of experience to uplift his pupils. We want the government to recognize Mr. Abdulmalik Abdullahi as the best Headmaster of the year 2018, the teachers’ reward is no longer in heaven.

To God be the glory, history has been repeated again as the best five (5) pupils out of 1876 pupils in Kogi state in just concluded first round of the Annual National Mathematics Competition organized by Nigerian/Tulip International Colleges in collaboration with National Mathematical Center as all emerged from LGEA Demonstration Standard School, Onyukoko, Okene.

We wish the Kogi State government, through its Ministry of Education, will as a matter of urgency to honour staff, teachers and students that won the 2018 Nigerian/Tulip International Colleges in collaboration with National Mathematical Center.

We urge the commissioner for education, who oversees the state’s Ministry of Education, Rosemary Osikoya to reward hardwork and also to motivate the staff and the five pupils that emerged as 1-5.

We equally plead with the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and leader of Kogi Central political appointees, Engr. (Dr.) Abubakar Sadiku Ohere, to put smile on the face of the headmaster, our dedicated and outstanding staff and pupils of the school.

According to the headmaster, he maintained that teaching is not about earning a living, but about having a strong passion for humanity and emotional stability to impart knowledge regardless of the challenges.

“Our school produced five of the 2018 Nigerian/Tulip International Colleges competition because we focused on science. We were recording 100 percent. We had very good teachers and the standard was high both in academics and morals. It is the only school in Kogi that can boast that over the years had maintained number one position in the the 2018 Nigerian/Tulip International Colleges/National Mathematical Center.

“As an educationist, he says he had always known that the first step toward quality education is to motivate the teacher because he is the most critical stakeholder in the quality education delivery chain,” he said.

He appreciated the gesture of Alh Yakubu Oseni(AYO), the senatorial candidate of APC in Kogi Central and Hon Ahmed Tijani Damisa, the House of Representative candidate of APC for Okene /Ogori Magongo Federal constituency.

The duo obtained forms that worth millions of naira for pupils from both public and private schools to showcase their talents. He is grateful for their kind gesture. On behalf of the management of the school, he wish the duo success in the forthcoming general election.

He equally congratulate the winners and urged them to go for gold medals as they represent Kogi state in the forthcoming grand finale in Kaduna as scheduled.
