Your multi-level victory, starting from the Tribunal, to the appeal court and finally, to the Supreme Court, did not come to me as a surprise. I have always argued that the Tribunal and the Appeal Courts couldn’t have been wrong after all. The apex court just affirmed this assertion.
Court cases after a divine electoral victory like yours could cause a huge distraction, thereby slowing down the wheel of our progress. Now that the unnecessary legal battles have been dealt the final blow, the New Direction Agenda can now come on full course!
It is on record that ever since the creation of Kogi State some 25 years ago, no government had ever come up with a blue print for our development. For the first time in more than two decades of haphazard administration, you gave us a development blue print, a road map to the emancipation of Kogi State. Thus, you set Kogi State on a New Direction with a clear vision.
Your achievement in the area of security is second to none. Due to your visionary leadership, Kogi State is now a save haven for business activities and social gathering. Kabba/Bunu LGA can safely testify to this and we express our heart felt appreciation to the New Direction Team.
To our divine Governor, we are glad to acknowledge that the first battle has been won decisively without lifting an arm. Now it’s time we won the heart of the common man of the street to ourselves. Now is the time to work hard enough to convince the voters that the New Direction deserves a second tenure. We are here to give you all the supports, using our expertise for the greater good.
