South African Embassy Explore Kogi State Investment Potentials

Lathitha Wine, South Africa, in collaboration with that country’s Embassy in Nigerian are collaborating with a view to harnessing investment potentials that are abound in Kogi State for economic development.

To this end, Executive Director of the company, Mr Haruna Madisca, told Nigerian Pilot that area of interest include replication of the company’s wine factory, agriculture, mining, tourism/hospitality as well as establishment of Shoprite Stores in the state capital, Lokoja amongst other long term investments.

According to Madisca, already 28 hectares of land has been acquired in Bassa local government area of the state for the purpose of wine factory, also another one will be established in Lagos.

The executive director, who commended Governor Idris Wada for his commitment to provide enabling business environment, noted that the company would leverage on its investment to address the issue of unemployment in the country.

Besides, he said that preparations were in advanced stage to establish tomato paste factory and five star hotel in the country.

Mr Madisca enunciated that Kogi State is a unique investment destination which shares borders with 9 states.
