The Senator representing Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi has sacked his senior legislative aide, Chief Cornelius Olowo over allegations of misconduct and unruly behaviour.

A source close to the Senator made this known to Journalists in Lokoja, Kogi State capital.

The former legislative aide, according to the source who does not want his name mentioned, as the Director General of Matthew Kolawole House of Representatives Campaign Organisation was the arrow head in the manipulation of delegates list in the primary election that produced the Speaker as the House of Representatives’ flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Chief Olowo was also accused of single handedly writing the delegate list for the primary which was used to change the original list from the national headquarters of the party.

The source further stated that the former Senator Adeyemi’s staff did not get the nod of the Federal lawmaker before he took the offer to serve as the director general of the Speaker’s campaign organisation, a development that angered the Senator.

He was also accused of using the constituency office of the Senator located at Kabba to hold political meetings for Matthew Kolawole.

The allegations of manipulation of delegates’ list is another justification that the primary election that produced Kolawole as the candidate of the AOC for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency was fraudulent, undemocratic and a mere sham while legal delegates were denied their franchise.
