Issues surrounding the daylight robbery in Kogi East will rage on till after 2019 general elections. The political robber is not new to shenanigans. He robbed other PDP aspirants in 2014 and has done it again. A case of a leopard that cannot change its skin.

It will be recalled that Atai Aidoko disrupted an on-going PDP primaries in Idah four years ago when he realised he cannot win. He stormed the venue with thugs, scuttled the process and quickly declared himself winner. The courts had since ordered that he leaves the national assembly for the rightful owner of the seat, Air Marshal Isaac Alfa but he is being protected by the Senate President.

His stay in the Senate has been a huge waste for Kogi East. He is grossly unfit and has remained a huge embarrassment to his people. Even as chairman Senate committee on SDGs, Aidoko has not been able make any meaningful impact in his Ugbamaka-Igu community talk less of other communities in his senatorial district. Senator Ahmad Ogembe, representing Kogi Central is not chairing any committee in the Senate but his presence is being felt by his people. Aside his numerous initiatives tailored towards ameliorating the pains of his people, Ogembe has sponsored an important bill that seeks to upgrade the Federal College of Education in Okene to a full fledged University. He has embarked on water projects, youths and women empowerment schemes among several others.

Despite total rejection for his clueless and visionless representation, Aidoko is seeking to force himself on Kogi East, once again. Unfortunately for Aidoko, our mumu don do!

He has chosen to compromise the leadership of the PDP with humongous sums to ensure he picks the party ticket as if the PDP ticket guarantees entry into heaven. These monies should have spent on developmental initiatives in Kogi East that will make him popular and acceptable. This shows how some politicians think upside down.

Aidoko has succeeded in stealing PDP ticket again, just like he did in 2014. However, the question is, can the PDP ticket guarantee him victory at the polls? The answer in an empathic NO across Kogi East.

If stealing is his hobby, he should go and join highway robbers. He is political liability that we have endured for too long and the time has come for us tame the monster. He has just ignited the engine of the lorry that will ferry him right into political oblivion.

It is easy to steal the King’s trumpet but where will you blow it?

Will he come to Kogi East to campaign with his stolen ticket? He should go and blow the stolen trumpet in Saraki and Secondus senatorial district. He has no place in Kogi East. Just like in 2015 when he stole the PDP ticket, what was the outcome? Total rejection at the polls. 2019 will not be different, he will be roundly rejected by the embittered Kogi East voters who he has treated badly in all aspects.

Like I said in my previous treatise, Aidoko’s PDP will lag behind ADC, APC, SDP and APDA in the 2019 Kogi East senatorial elections. This position stands as Aidoko is no match for the candidates of these political parties.
