Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District has described the newly crowned Elulu of Mopa land, HRM Oba Muyiwa Ibeun as an embodiment of tradition, a unifier with uncommon sterling leadership qualities and a courageous man as he ascend the throne of his ancestors.
The Senator stated this while reacting to the news of his coronation.
He said, “as you are coronated as the Elulu of Mopa land, I pray your reign will usher in peace, prosperity and joy to the land of your fore fathers and may your light not go dim in Jesus name.
“It is the custodianship of this great heritage and proud tradition that the Elulu throne has placed upon you going forward. It is therefore, your Royal Majesty, a heavy obligation of history that the privilege of your ascension to the throne of your fathers now places upon your shoulders. But we have no doubt because your shoulders are broad and sturdy as you come into this office better prepared.”
The Senator also charged the Paramount ruler to preserve the cultural heritage of his people and ensure peace, harmony, and development in Mopa and beyond.
