Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) has commenced renovation of classroom blocks in public schools across Kogi East senatorial district.
Starting from Imane Community Grammar School and Okenyi Community Secondary School in Ankpa and Olamaboro Local Government Areas, Senator Echocho reaffirmed his commitment to educational and people-oriented representation across the district.
Speaking through his Personal Assistant, Hon. Okpanachi Abubakar, at the flag-off ceremonies, Senator Echocho emphasized that education remains one of the critical pillars of sustainable development and nation-building.
He noted that the renovation projects are part of his broader legislative intervention aimed at improving educational infrastructure, enhancing teaching and learning conditions, and creating a conducive environment for students and teachers alike.
He added that lawmaking also involves identifying the pressing needs of the people and attracting projects that directly impact their lives.
The lawmaker further reiterated his sustained determination to continue facilitating infrastructural projects that address the challenges facing communities across Kogi East.
Hon. Okpanachi disclosed that preliminary assessments and technical evaluations had already been concluded, paving the way for the full commencement of renovation works at both schools.
The projects are expected to transform the existing structures, improve classroom conditions, and provide a more suitable atmosphere for effective learning.
The classroom renovation projects have been warmly received by chiefs, community leaders, school management, parents, and students, who expressed gratitude for the Senator’s continuous efforts in attracting impactful projects to the area. They described the intervention as timely and significant, considering the need to improve infrastructure in many public schools within the district.
These projects and many more are what Senator Echocho said is leveraging on to deliver President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
