Security Trust Fund to Boost NATFORCE Operations in Kogi

Kogi State Security Trust Fund says it is committed to combating crime by enhancing the operations of the National Taskforce to Combat Illegal Importation of Small Arms, Ammunition and Light Weapons (NATFORCE).

Chairman Kogi State Security Fund, Hon. Teina Abdulmalik gave the assurance while playing host to a delegation from the state command of NATFORCE in his office in Lokoja.

Hon Abdulmalik, who described the security of lives and property as core to the Governor Yahaha Bello led administration, reechoed his agency’s resolve to support all outfits responsible for safety.

While reiterating his commitment to a crime-free state, he enjoined the masses and other relevant stakeholders to regard security issues as everybody’s business, just as he promised to improve on the legacy of his predecessor.

The Chairman who used the forum to charge the public on the need to always be conscious, commended the state governor for his efforts in the area of security.

He equally assured the NATFORCE delegation that all their challenges would be addressed accordingly.

Earlier, Kogi State Commandant, National Task Force, Commandant Dan Onucheyo, assured residents of the force’s readiness to restore peace across the federation, appealed for operational vehicles, computer sets, a secretariat and well equipped office complex to enable it commence full operations.

He assured the chairman of his agency’s readiness to sustain the existing relationship with the trust fund to the state of crimes and other vices.
