Prince Gowon Enenche, popularly known as G1, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency, has empowered youths across the constituency with over 10 brand-new TVS tricycles, popularly known as Keke, as part of his youth development and economic empowerment initiative.
The intervention, implemented through the G1 Group, is aimed at providing young people with practical means of livelihood, while promoting self-reliance, productivity and economic independence across Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro.
Speaking on the initiative, Enenche said the empowerment programme was driven by his conviction that meaningful leadership must translate into tangible opportunities capable of improving the lives and economic wellbeing of the people.
“Our youths do not need empty promises; they need opportunities that can enable them to work, earn a decent income and build sustainable livelihoods. This is why we are investing directly in them,” he said.
According to him, the tricycles are more than mere material gifts, describing them as productive economic assets designed to provide beneficiaries with sustainable sources of income.
Enenche said the beneficiaries could use the opportunity to support their families, create additional economic value and contribute to the development of their respective communities.
“A practical investment in our youths is an investment in the future of our communities. When a young person has a means of livelihood, that individual is empowered to become productive, support a family and contribute meaningfully to society,” he stated.
The SDP candidate urged the beneficiaries to treat the tricycles as valuable economic assets and deploy them responsibly to generate sustainable income.
“This is not just about receiving a tricycle. It is about receiving an opportunity. I expect the beneficiaries to protect these assets, use them productively and allow them to become a foundation for greater economic independence,” Enenche added.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment, stressing that the development of the constituency must include deliberate investment in the creativity, energy and economic potential of its younger population.
“If we want stronger communities, we must empower the people who constitute the future of those communities. Our young people deserve opportunities to work, prosper and build meaningful lives without depending entirely on others,” he said.
The latest intervention forms part of the G1 Group’s broader youth-focused initiatives, with emphasis on economic empowerment, self-reliance, human capital development and inclusive community growth across Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency.
