Food items worth over N4 million were during the week purchased and distributed to the needy aimed at cushioning their difficulties and hardship during Sallah festivities.
Hon Idris Ndako, member representing Lokoja II state constituency, made this known while distributing food item to the people of Lokoja I and II constituencies with a view to alleviating their hardship and making their lives easier during the Eidil- Fitir festivities.
Ndako, shortly after the launch of the items and their subsequent distribution to thousands of the people across Lokoja I and II constituencies, assured the beneficiaries that he will continue to assist the people of the area who gave him the mandate to represent them in the State House of Assembly.
He explained that though he is not Governor nor a contractor, he will always share the resources available to him among the people as a way of giving them a sense of belonging.
“Everybody knows that we don’t control funds, we only make laws ”, he said.
He assured the people of his determination to assist those facing a number of challenges, especially at this critical period.
Ndako also stated that as a lawmaker he will ensure he raise or support any bill that is of benefit to every Kogite, particularly the less-privileged one, irrespective of sectional or political affiliation.
