Our attention has been drawn to an online publication purported to have emanated from Sahara Reporters on Thursday 20th February 2020.

We urge the entire public to disregard the publication because it is politically motivated to witch-hunt and de-market the lawmaker representing Ajaokuta Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, ahead of 2023.

Even after the issue of certificate forgery levelled against Hon Lawal Idirisu has been settled by the superior court of the land, and the courts in a unanimous decision ordered that the issued of certificate forgery against the person of Hon Lawal should not be maliciously re-litigated in any court of law again otherwise it is tantamount to double jeopardy and completely against court process.

The courts also directed that Aloysious Okino and his cohorts is by the order of the court estopped from taking any other legal action on that matter and he was accordingly fined a damage of N400,000 by the Court of Appeal, which up till this moment he has not paid.

To put the record straight and clear the air before the general public, the issue of certificate forgery has long been settled right from 2015 till date in more than six courts as listed below:

1- Appeal No: CA/A/EPT/647/2015.
2- Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/1264/2018.
3- Appeal No:CA/A/408/2019
4- Supreme Court No: SC/894/2019.
5- Petition No: EPT/KG/NASS/HR/06/2019.
6- Appeal No: CA/A/EPT/852/2019 (particularly page 10 line 3 to 10 of the above appeal judgement delivered on 28th October 2019.)

The first matter was settled and discharge accordingly in 2015, the second matter was determine in 2018 while the rest matter were handled in 2019 were we had to rerun the 22 polling units’ result which were not properly sign, stamp and dated by INEC presiding officers.

The above judgements are already a public documents that can be accessed by anybody for clarity and better understanding, after which it will be crystal clear that the publisher is clueless about the fact of the matter and in due course all those linked to the publication would be sued for contempt and double jeopardy by the office of the law maker, and anybody found culpable will be made to face the wrath of the law.
