Member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, on Thursday, congratulated Dr Salisu Ogbo Usman, on his confirmation by Gov. Yahaya Bello as the rector of Kogi State Polytechnic.
In a congratulatory statement issued in Abuja on Thursday, Halims described Dr Salisu’s confirmation as a further validation of his competence and integrity to lead the institution.
Rep. Halims, who is chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Steel Development, thanked the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and His Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja for their courage, maturity and magnanimity in rewarding excellence through the process of probation, and confirmation on the basis of credence and proven ability to deliver.
The Federal Lawmaker expressed confidence that the confirmation of the Ankpa-born Don will serve as an impetus for more diligence in handling responsibilities while fuelling the zeal to deliver on the promises of a greater citadel on learning as characteristic with his ten months leadership in acting capacity.
Halims appealed to all sons and daughters of Ankpa Federal Constituency in places of authority to use the privilege of their positions to drive home intellectual, human, capital and infrastructural development of the constituency.
