Rep. Halims Collaborates With NPC to Train Hundreds of Constituents in Agric Value Chain, Gives Grants

The member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development, Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has trained hundred of constituents drawn from Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Local Government Areas of Kogi State.

The training which is in collaboration with the National Productivity Centre (NPC) focused on “Strategic Empowerment and Training in Agricultural Value Chain, Grants to Less Privileged and Inputs to Farmers” in a bid to enhance the productivity Agriculture in particular and rural farmers in the area at large was in three sessions for Omala and Olamaboro/Ankpa Constituents, respectively.

While presenting certificates of training to the Participants, the lead paper presenter cum resource person to UN TER Limited, Mr. Attai Ohiemi, commended the constituents for their good conduct and attention to sessions, adding that the area is a haven bibliophile as He charged them on judicious use of the financial grants given to them.

The participants, through separate remarks, thanked Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims for the kind gesture and equally extolled the contractors for doing justice with the resources voted for the program which they described as most timely.

It can be recalled that Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims recently held a similar program in Ankpa and has maintained his readiness to sponsor more of such, in sequence. This he noted, is aimed at encouraging people to go back to farm in order to ensure food security for all.
