Remembrance Prayers for Late Prince Audu

The family of late Prince Abubakar Audu held special prayers to mark the second year remembrance of his demise, on Wednesday, in his Ogbonicha-Alloma residence.
At the prayers were, Vincent Baba, Kogi State chairman, Kwankwoso Campaign Organization; Hon. Linus Enenche, member representing Olamaboro constituency; Alhaji Sani Ogu, Alhaji Alfa Isiaka, traditional rulers and women and youth organizations.
The Chief Imam of Ankpa, Sheik Salman Adam, who led other clerics to pray for the former governor, described the late Audu as a humble and God-fearing person who was loved by all.
He said that the late Audu dedicated all his life to the service of humanity, adding that the legacies he left behind will remain indelible in the minds of the people.
Sheikh Adam prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and for the peaceful coexistence of Kogi State and the entire country.
On his part, the  Hon Momoh Rabiu Isiaka, member representing Ankpa 11 constituency, described the death of Audu as a great loss not only to Igala Kingdom but the entire country.
The lawmaker prayed for the repose of his soul even as he implored the people, particularly politicians, to emulate the virtues of the late Audu.
Hon Timothy Omora, former chairman, Kogi State Local Government Service Commission, was among the many faithful that attended the occasion. He described the late Audu as an epitome of peace and compassion.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Haddy Ameteo, the Kogi State Chaiarman of APC who was unavoidably absent, but represented by Alhaji Mohammed Attati Bozy, described the late former governor as one of the pillars that impacted the society significantly, adding that; “he died at the time we really needed him.
“For us in APC, he is one of the pillars of the party and also a member of our Board of Trustees (BoT). That is why almost all our members in the country were around during the burial.”
The late Audu who died on Sunday, 22nd November 2015, was at one time the governor of Kogi State.
