Reflect on The Teachings Eid-El-Kabir for Nation Building – Kogi Speaker

The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Mathew has congratulated Muslim faithfuls on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir 2017.
He urged the Muslim ummah in the state to reflect on the teachings and lessons of Eid-El-Kabir for nation building with particular emphasis on Kogi State.
In a statement signed and issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Femi Olugbemi, Kolawole also extends warm wishes to Kogites on pilgrimage in the Holy Land and seized the opportunity to commiserate with the family of the aged woman that passed on in the Holy Land, praying for Allah to grant her Aljanat firdaus.
The Speaker urged Kogi Muslim to reflect on the willingness of Allah’s Prophet, Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son, Ishmael which brought about the celebration of Eid-el-Kabirl. He also enjoined Kogi Muslims to learn to sacrifice towards the development of the State.
He stressed that the peoples’ willingness to sacrifice of servants of God today will make lead to celebration of such sacrifices in the future.
He urged leaders, opinion moulders and other relevant stakeholders at all levels to demonstrate selflessness and patriotism in their undertaking, noting that the state has the wherewithal to be great among the comity of states in the country considering its enormous human and natural resources.
He admonishes all Kogites to celebrate responsibly and be security conscious.
The Speaker called on the people of the state to continue to pray for the current leadership in the state, led by Governor Yahaya Bello to succeed in all areas, assuring the support and cooperation of the legislative arm with the executive in order to fast track the overall development of the state.
