The Director-General of the Kogi State Social Investment Programme Agency (KOSSIPA), Hajiya Aishat Oyiza Omade, has commended members and loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside the electorate for their massive and peaceful turnout during the local government elections in the state.

Omade, who led party leaders, supporters, and loyalists in her ward to cast their votes for the APC chairmanship and councillorship candidates, described the election exercise as peaceful, orderly, and a clear testament to the party’s growing strength across the grassroots.

Addressing voters and party candidates before the commencement of voting, the KOSSIPA boss urged all stakeholders to uphold unity, maintain peace, and consistently prioritize the welfare of the citizenry above personal interests.

She praised the electorate for turning out in large numbers to exercise their civic duty despite the hot weather conditions, noting that their dedication demonstrated a deep commitment to deepening democracy in Kogi State.

Charging the candidates to remain accountable to the electorate, Omade emphasized that public office must strictly be viewed as a solemn responsibility to serve and improve the living standards of the people.

Expressing firm confidence in the ruling party’s grassroots support, she reaffirmed her belief in the electoral strength of the APC and wished all the party’s candidates success as the state awaits the official declaration of results by the electoral umpire.
