HE sir,
It gives me no special pleasure to write you; worse, openly. I am left with no choice but to intervene before you and your team are pelted with stones on your next entrance to Kabba/Bunu land and particularly, Kabba town.
I really don’t wish to delve into some major issues that have snowballed into the current political tension rocking the present headquarter of Kogi west senatorial district but without economizing words, the timing for the local government elections can’t be more perfect than now, even if it’s just for Kabba/Bunu LG.
We are passing through the most terrible moments in our political history and regrettably, this moment is directly under your ‘New Direction’ watch..The gift of Mr Moses Olorunleke as our local govt administrator can be likened to the biblical parable of a mother responding to the need of her child with serpent; we’ve suddenly become endangered species in our country home.
Frankly speaking, a vacuum would have been preferred because from records, administrative recklessness, cluelessness and abuse of public office has never attained such a lofty height as presently experienced under Mr Moses.
Sequel to the event of suspension placed on some local govt administrators few months ago with Mr Moses being inclusive, I’ve taken my time to critically under study his administrative capabilities and unfortunately met with grave disappointment. Mr Moses Olorunleke, unlike other political appointees from Kabba/Bunu LG lacks ideas and worse, he’s completely disconnected with the realities facing his constituents and constituency.
Very recently, a circular was released on Kogi state government’s partnership with a foreign company to train and empower 2,500 youths with a minimum of 100 beneficiaries from each local government. It’s nauseating to know that as at yesterday evening, every attempt to reach Mr Moses has proved abortive. As at yesterday evening, his Secretary seemed completely unaware of a programme that wss scheduled to kick off tomorrow (9/2/2017).
Eventually, tomorrow will come and in the usual padi padi culture, ‘ghost names’ will take over the 100 slots given to our local govt from God knows where. My point exactly is this, we can’t be fighting ghost workers at state level and then re introducing ghost beneficiaries of Govt policies into the system through local govt outlets, the whole ‘ghost fight’ will be completely flawed.
My worrying question is this: is the GYB govt at war with Kabba/Bunu LG, especially Kabba?? If YES, then Mr Moses must certainly be the ‘fifth columnist’ among us..If NO, the governor must tinker with the leadership of Kabba/Bunu LG by way of replacement or election.
