In a sudden twist of event that jolted party hierarchy and supporters, former Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area chairmanship aspirant, entrepreneur and philanthropist of immense repute, Prince Segun Joel Arokoyo (aka Alabiye) has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his Odo – Akete / Bolorunduro ward of Kabba, Kabba-Bunu LGA, Kogi State.

In a letter dated 5th May, 2026 addressed to the ward Chairman, – “Sir, I am resigning my membership of the party with immediate effect due to personal reasons. I promised to contribute my own quota to the growth and development of Kabba-Bunu LGA and Kogi State at large,” the letter partly reads.

He also used the opportunity to thank the party for the experience garnered over the years and the platform to aspire for Chairman, Kabba-Bunu LGA in 2024.

The ward Chairman though reluctantly accepted his resignation letter because of his immense contribution to the success of the party in all elections. He thereafter wished him well in his next political sojourn.

As at the time of going to press, the next political move of Hon. Segun Arokoyo is still sketchy.
