The truth they say, is bitter. When you are a truthful fellow, you will always remain the enemy of the elite. People don’t like to listen to the truth again except you lie to them. I quote Senator Melaye: “If you speak the truth you die, If you lie you also die. I choose to speak the truth and die.”
There is no gain in supporting what will not pave way for an everlasting solution. Senator Dino Melaye has been unjustly exposed to humiliation and intimidation through various government agencies that were establish decades ago to protect the lives and properties of Nigerian citizens.
How it all started is not new, even to a child at birth. From Senator Tinubu to Hon. Faleke, who is our brother, down to the Presidency, including Kogi ALGON Chairman/Ijumu Administrator to Gov. Yahaya Bello and to INEC.  Now it is down to the Nigeria Police Force that are supposed to protect the lives and properties of all citizens. From all indications, it is obvious that there is a conspiracy theory to eliminate the voice of the voiceless and to silence him not to speak for the masses as he usually does.
We are neither anti nor pro-Dino, but the fact remains that Sen. Dino Melaye is our son and we can not expose him to tyranny, injustice, jungle justice and unmerited torture. Sen. Dino Melaye is an OKUN MAN and the world know us to be gallant comrades that stand for whatever we believe is right even if it will cost us our life.
On this note, Okun Positive Thinkers call on all the actors in the scene to let our son, brother and friend be, for the sake of posterity. Sen. Dino Melaye is a son of the soil, nothing must happen to him while in the so-called illegal captivity.
Our Resolution
Injustice to one is an injustice to all.
We at OPT condemn Sen. Dino’s arrest that nearly claimed his life and we ask for his immediate release.
We also call that the Nigerian Police Force take total responsibility of his medical bills until the reason why he was let out of a moving Police vehicle is known.
We call on Governor Yahaya Bello and Senator Dino Melaye to tender unreserved apologies to all Kogi citizens due to the disturbance they have caused in the state, while denting the image and reputation of the State.
We move the motion that Governor Yahaya Bello and Senator Dino Melaye should not re-contest for another tenure in 2019.
In conclusion, we at this point encourage all Kogi citizens, especially Kogi West, to take solace in God and pray for quick recovery of Senator Dino Melaye, their son. We plead with all youths not to take laws into there hands as we know the indigenes of Kogi west are law abiding.
Signed:
Comrade Awobiyi Ojoanu Timileyin
National Coordinator, Okun Positive Thinkers OPT
