A 32-year-old Army impersonator, and other 19 suspected criminals has being arrested by the Kogi State Police Command.

The suspect, Mohammed Usman, 32, was arrested over alleged impersonation as a corporal in the Nigeria Army.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Paul Okafor, disclosed this while parading 20 suspected criminals at the Command Headquarters at the weekend, that Usman was parading himself as a corporal in the Army and had been duping unsuspecting members of the public in the name of his boss.

The new police commissioner, however, warned criminals to turn a new leaf or relocate from the state.

“Since I assumed duty as Commissioner of Police, Kogi State, we have been guided by the vision and mission of the present Police High Command and dynamic leadership of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Suleiman Abba, which further underscores the imperativeness of all police officers and men to imbibe the values of humility, honesty and hard work.

“In pursuance of this drive, criminals will have no hiding place in Kogi State, as I have directed and warned all officers and men to go out and ransack all nook and cranny of the state”, he said.
